On Friday the 23rd of October the whole 3\4’s went on a excursion to Sovereign Hill
the trip was 2 hours to get there when we got there we had snack then went to the education centre and we found out a lot of facts such as there was a ship that did 70 trips from Britain to Australia. After that we went to the black smith and saw him make a horse shoe After that we went gold panning and my friend got some tiny flakes.We had lunch then I to the candy shop and the lollies were yummy!! Then we went gold panning again and I found some gold. After that we went on an old fashion horse carriage then we walked to the gold pour and I saw some real gold being poured into solid gold. We walked around a bit then saw the red hill mine and that is were I saw a hologram of the biggest nugget in Ballarat it is called the welcome nugget.We went gold panning again after that I went back to the blacksmiths were my name was carved into a horse shoe. Our day was closing to an end and we had afternoon tea and then went on the bus to school

Louis Pasteur is a very famous scientist and his discovery of germs and bacteria was very important in our everyday life..
Early life
Louis Pasteur was born on the 27th of December 1822 in dole, France and died on the 28th of September 1895 in marnes- la -coquette. He was an average student but he was very good at painting and drawing. He got his bachelor of arts degree in 1840 and later got his science degree in 1842 at Ecole Normale in Paris
Why he is famous
Louis Pasteur is famous for finding out how you get sick with germs and bacteria even though he could not see them! He also was the founder of pasteurization which gets rid of all of the bacteria and germs in milk and makes it last longer. He also created vaccinations for anthrax and rabies.
Other Facts
He married Marie Laurent on the 29th of may 1849 and had 5 children and only 2 survived childhood.
He had been badly paralysed in 1868 and he managed to celebrate his 70th birthday but eventually died at 73 [1822-1895.]
He made a Pasteur institution was opened on November 14 1888. It is a great place to find out more discoveries.
Louis Pasteur was a great scientist and he has saved countless lives with all of his findings.
Chemistry is the study of matter and atoms. It also looks at what happens when you mix chemicals together. Scientists that study chemistry are called chemists.
Chemical Reactions
There are three ways that you know a chemical reaction is happening, temperature change, bubbles and color change. A chemical reaction occurs by combining two substances together.
Atoms
Atoms is a part of chemistry. Inside atoms there are protons, neutrons and electrons. Electrons are on the outside and the protons and neutrons are on the inside. If an atom loses its electron the atom will try to join with other atoms but they can’t join with a full shell atom they can only join with another atom the has lost an electron.

Louis Pasteur – found out how you actually how you get sick [germs and bacteria] and knew how to stop germs and bacteria spreading.
Marie Curie- won the nobel prize twice she was the first female professor at her university her daughter won a nobel prize as well Marie Curie’s second nobel prize was for discovering polonium and radium

There are a lot of big lizards they aren’t always small.
My favourite part of the excursion was seeing the monkeys with their long arms and great climbing and swinging. I really liked it.
My other favourite bit was going in the maze and getting wet for a good cool off.
The worst bit was going to the zoo because I was really bored.
What is your favourite animal at the zoo?
I strongly believe that students should be allowed to wear anything they want. It is ridiculous how you aren’t allowed to wear whatever you want to. Show your imagination and wear what you want.
Firstly i think that students should be allowed to wear anything they want because the students will feel bored just putting on the same thing EVERY SINGLE DAY! or you could just allow the students to wear whatever they want.
My second reason is that i think the students would be happy if they were allowed to wear what they want because they would feel sad by not being able to express their personality and their creativity.
My third and final reason is it would be easier just to put on whatever they want rather than searching for specific clothes EVERY SINGLE DAY! wouldn’t be so much easier
So those are my reasons why i think that all students should be allowed to wear what they want and remember school uniforms is REALLY BORING!
